What I like

  • Well-executed exercises
  • Another useful model to apply in specific cases
  • The exercises
  • The "real life" example
  • Interesting concept, and useful
  • Good practice, learning the techniques
  • The idea of a Business Value Model
  • Changing on thing influences many goals
  • Business value at a higher level
  • Very interactive
  • The visualisation of it
  • Dynamics and practice in session
  • room + presence of creativity
  • Collaborative way of learning
  • Seems important. I sense the usefulness, but I don't quite get it...
  • Real life example - "Sales pitch" was really too good!
  • Practical exercise and fun
  • Interesting to use
  • The examples make the idea very clear
  • The difference between leading and lagging indicators
  • Inspiring
  • Important subject
  • Really great preparation
  • Interaction
  • Great topic, well presented
  • Once I understood the general purpose and vision behind this; I liked the way you can visualise and model your business vision/goal
  • Opportunity to move between groups
  • Use model as start for conversation
  • Pascal giving specific advice to groups
  • Portia and Pascal! and the way you are able to get participants (me) thinking
  • Topic extremely useful - valuable, especially showing relationships within the model
  • A good model to reason about business value
  • I liked doing something artistic too, as well as learning the theory
  • Lots of content, and ideas I can really take away and use on my current project
  • Well thought out and planned activities, excellent facilitation
  • I liked the "travelling consultant" thing you did
  • Good timer on the screen
  • It gave and introduction on Business Value Model
  • Exercises were interesting
  • The coaches were excellent!
  • Very clear
  • Good practical case
  • Good example

  • That it let us use the techniques
  • Practical
  • Goal Table
  • The idea about identifying business value
  • Very well structured
  • Told with enthusiasm
  • Good interaction
  • Well-paced
  • Business Value Model is a good tool

To improve

  • Link to development could be stronger, focus now on operational business
  • Link to Story Mapping? (Goals, Stakeholders)
  • Add an artistic sensibilisation session :-)
  • A bit more time on the example, especially the relations
  • More time for asking questions
  • The start of the exercise with lagging goals was unclear
  • Timeframe: two hours would be better
  • The time in the workshops was quite shoirt, so we had to rush a bit
  • Maybe less material? Easier to assimilate
  • Two different examples/cases:
    • One for presentation
    • One for exercises
  • Make it easier to play with the goals. E.g. Write goals on pre-prepared cards
  • More explanation of exercise in the start (several people did not understand the exercise)
  • Some more real world examples - trade it for the creative exercise and group presentation at the end?
  • Show more of real world examples (anonymised)
  • I was lost at the beginning because I didn't understand why and when we should do this
  • Uncertainty about instructions
  • Re-phrase
  • The explanations of the exercises could be crisper (more clear)
  • Need more time to go fully through and to reflectr on the learning
  • Take more time to build the goal table, instead of the creative stuff at the end. The goal table is IMHO more important
  • Popular session = maximum number of people exceeded, so one person had to leave the room after first 5 mins. I felt sorry for him
  • More vision on where to explore... What next?
  • Let the team define the goals
  • Maybe find a simpler case but more day-to-day life where goals are interconnected because we lost time understanding the technical specifications of the Phone-E industry
  • More clear on information handouts (titles)
  • Match slides to time
  • Show how it ties in with delivering value and evaluating requirements
  • Make it 30 minutes longer so there is more time in each of the steps of the exercise
  • The assignments could be clearer
  • More time for going into goals and measurements in respect to prioritisation
  • How to link it to product backlog?
  • Fruit instead of chocolates
