Some of the tasks to do at a conference kickoff are
We get an enormous amount of feedback from participants. How can we deal with this mass of information?
We start to see some themes in the feedback.
We split into small groups to define the actions to take to improve the conference. Afterwards, each group presents their improvement proposals and we select the highest value actions.
The team is busy testing the quality of food and drinks. Hey, somebody has to do it.
While half of the team is busy going through the planning with the venue, the rest of the team has to define the program. The problem is always the same: too many good sessions, too few available slots. Making choices is hard,but we finally manage it. We have sessions for each slot, covering the whole range of subjects presented at XP Days 2013. We also have a set of backup sessions, in case a presenter can't come to Mini XP Day.
We all know what needs to be done and by when. Let's get to it.
